Ghana’s 2017 WAFU Cup of Nations-winning players have each received $6,000 as share of bonuses for their success in the competition in September.
Black Stars ‘B’ won the tournament Nations after defeating rivals Nigeria 4-1 in the finals at the Cape Coast Stadium.
A cash prize of $100,000 was awarded to the team for winning the tournament, while President Akuffo Addo also rewarded them with $100,000. A total amount of $200,000 was shared among 18 players, technical members and the management.
The locally assembled team made amends by winning the WAFU Cup of Nations competition after failing to qualify for the Championship of African Nations tournament (CHAN).
