Like any other person who works ‘behind the scenes’, She is not a known face in Ghana but Deidra Boateng contribution has resulted in unprecedented improvement in the quality of beauty pageants in North American country Canada.
The 23-year-old focus-driven graduate of York University, Canada’s 3rd biggest University has carved a niche for herself as one of Africa’s finest beauty pageant grooming experts in that part of the world.
Ama Dee, as she is affectionately called, has worked on a number of contestants who have participated in pageants such as Miss Ghanaian Canadian, Miss Africa Canada amongst others.
Ama is a former Ghana’s Most beautiful 2014 1st runner up (claiming the following awards: best talent, most photogenic, and best evening wear) & former Ambassador of Miss Face of Humanity 2016 (claiming the following awards: best talent, best evening wear, & people’s choice awards).
“I was hired as a pageant coach for Miss Africa Canada in which challenged me to derive my teaching abilities to expand as this pageant did not primarily focus of Ghanaian women but rather females from different parts of Africa.” The Mckesson Canada employee said.
Ama Dee’s aim of empowering ladies to rise from an inferiority complex, fear, shyness to become pillars in nation building makes her not limit the training of these pageants to the competition but also prepares the trainees for job interviews a well as academic exercises.
“I would like to partner some of the nation’s biggest pageants’ like Miss Malaika, GMB, Miss Ghana and others. With that being said my primary goal is to brand myself & connect with organizations that will allow me to help build their foundation. ” Ama Dee added.
