Beyonce Knowles proves her professionalism. Just a day after revealing that she and husband Jay-Z are expecting twins, Queen Bey was spotted rehearsing for the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.
Multiple sources tell Entertainment Tonight that the “Listen” hitmaker will be performing at the ceremony. The site claims that Bey was spotted rehearsing on Thursday, February 2 at a secret location in Los Angeles with a glam squad, camera crew and her team of dancers all in tow.
The news comes on the heels of Bey’s pregnancy announcement. On Wednesday, February 1, the 35-year-old diva surprised the world when she announced on Instagram that she’s having twins. “We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over,” so she wrote. “We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters.”
Beyonce leads the nominations for this year’s Grammys with nine nods, including Album of the Year for “Lemonade” and Record of the Year for “Formation”. Bey has been nominated 62 times in her career, more than any other female artists. She has already won 20 awards, and if she wins eight titles this year, she will surpass Alison Krauss as the most-honored woman in Grammy history.
Queen Bey will join previously-announced performers including The Weeknd, who is set to perform with Daft Punk, as well as Alicia Keys and Maren Morris, who will also collaborate on a duet. Adele, John Legend, Bruno Mars, Metallica, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban are also set to perform at the music’s biggest night, while James Corden will host from the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The annual award-giving ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS on Sunday, February 12 at 8 P.M. ET.
