Celebrated Ghanaian gospel musician, Michael Oware Sakyi popularly known in ShowBiz as OJ has revealed that his father’s death motivated him to compose “Nipa Hia Mmoa” song.

The talented musician used “Maye Se Mo Pen” music to narrate the mistakes he had made in the past and how he wished he had done otherwise. After releasing the “Nipa Hia Mmoa” song, many have commended him for it.

The song which talks about helping the helpless and the needy before they die has gained the airwaves but Minister OJ says his father’s death inspired him to compose such a great song.

Speaking to Mavis Amanor on Asempa FM on the Ladies Time Show as the adorable personality of the day, he said, “Death motivated me to compose Nipa Hia Mmoa. Death gave me a lesson and a message.

“I composed this song “Nipa Hia Mmoa” when I lost my father. My father never bought a car, so me and my siblings decided to buy him a car but two months before the time he died.

“The day he was laid to rest, I wish he could have driven the car for just five minutes but at the moment he couldn’t and I learnt a lesson that help a person before he or she dies.

“On the day of his burial, the family members were reading tributes and I was asking myself,”is my father hearing what they are reading”?. “Why didn’t they tell him all this when he was alive”?.

“Pay me my last respect when I am alive and if you want to buy me a car, do it now and don’t wait till I am die. If I need to give my family a complement, I will do it now whiles they are alive so they can hear it not when they are dead because we Africans spend more money on funerals rather than helping the needy.” he concluded.
