In his quest not to allow the blessings of Allah to elude him in the holiest month, Black Stars deputy captain Andre Ayew joined Muslim scholars in Nima, Accra, to end the annual Qur’anic recitations in the holy month of Ramadan.

The West Ham star was flanked by the National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, Minister of Inner City and Zongo Development Hon. Boniface Abubakar Saddick, and other prominent Islamic Scholars who graced the occasion.

The various scholars took turns to offer special prayers for the former Marseille and Swansea City play maker, interceding for Allah to grant him his heart’s desires.

Andre who is a committed Muslim donated an undisclosed amount of money to the National Chief Imam and Sheikh Mohammed Ridwan, host of the annul recitation as their special gifts for the Eid Ul Fitr celebration.

Andre and his brother Jordan Ayew had earlier on Friday donated ten bags of rice, six boxes of oil and ten cartons of milk to the Kado Mosque, a popular mosque in the community.

The former Ghana U20 skipper had also visited the Firdaus Foundation for Social Services Mosque at Nima Roundabout to observe the Islamic congregational prayers on Friday.

Leadership of the mosque led them through intercessory prayers after the landmark prayer gathering.

Meanwhile the duo have been excused from the Black Stars squad to face USA and Mexico in two successive friendlies in the United States.
