Asamoah Gyan ruled out of Ghana’s game against Egypt

Ghana will be without captain Asamoah Gyan for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Egypt on Sunday, the FA has confirmed.

The 32-year-old did not recover in time after pulling out of the team’s training on Wednesday due to a thigh problem.

The Ghana FA has now confirmed the Kayserispor striker won’t be available for the game in Cape Coast.

It’s a massive blow for coach Kwesi Appiah as he will have to map out strategies without the iconic talisman.

 

Tests have revealed that  captain Asamoah Gyan won’t play in Sunday’s World Cup qualifier against . Team doctor says scans show Gyan suffered at thigh strain following his injury in  training two days ago.
