South African musician Yvonne Chaka Chaka is posting pictures on instagram after being honoured for her humanitarian work at an award ceremony in Los Angeles, US, at the weekend.
She received the Global Good Power Award at the Black Entertainment Television International Awards ceremony.
The princess of Africa, as she is affectionately known by her fans, was honoured for health campaigning.
Ms Chaka Chaka is the UN’s global ambassador in the fight against malaria and a patron of the Global Fund for the Fight against the spread of TB, HIV and Aids.
Accepting her award at the ceremony, she urged Africans to “not compete with each other but complete each other”.
