Ghana midfielder Albert Adomah has been nominated as one of the six players for the PFA Championship fans’ award for November, after he excelled for Aston Villa during the month.
The 29-year-old, arguably Ghana’s hottest commodity in the diaspora, scored five goals for Villa in their hunt to win one of the automatic qualifications to the Premier League next season.
The former Bristol City winger scored a brace against Queens Park Rangers and Ipswich Town and found the back of the net against Sunderland.
However, he must shrug off competitions from Derby County striker Matej Vydra, Leon Clarke of Sheffield United, along with Wolverhampton Wanderers’ trio Willy Boly, Ivan Cavaleiro and Barry Douglas.
Vydra in particular, also scored five goals for the Rams, as the Czech Republic striker netted a hat-trick against Middlesbrough, as well as a goal each against Fulham and QPR.
Goal understands that the nominees for the Sky Bet Championship player and manager of the month will be announced later this week and Adomah, who has scored 11 goals in competitions this season, stands a realistic chance to make that list along with his boss Steve Bruce.
