The Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed, has called on African leaders to find sustainable jobs for 226 million youth of Africa particularly those between the ages of fifteen (15) and twenty four (24).
Madam Amina Mohammed stressed that the only way to guarantee the security of the African continent is to ensure that the biggest part of it population have equal access to employment opportunities, leadership roles and economic potentials.
Madam Mohammed made the remarks when she addressed African Heads of State and delegates attending the opening ceremony of the 29th ordinary session of the Assembly of African Union member States underway in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Early on, President Akufo-Addo joined his colleague Heads of State at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, to begin the 29th ordinary session of the Assembly of Heads of State on the African continent.
The President upon arrival took part in the traditional photo session and exchange of pleasantries.
The Heads of State are meeting in the Nelson Mandela hall NCC medium conference hall.
