Former Member of Parliament for Nantong constituency, Mr Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed is challenging the Akufo-Addo government to take him on over any issue that borders on corruption and abuse of office in which he is implicated.
In a program covered by MYNEWSGH.com, he boasted that when placed on the scale of incorruptibility against Special Prosecutor, Mr Martin Amidu, The President, Akufo-Addo and his Vice President Bawumia all on one side; he Murtala will outweigh them all.
Speaking to a charged student audience who kept applauding him over and over again, Mr Murtala Mohammed said someone had told him that Mr Martin Amidu had some files on him and he was likely to be prosecuted for a crime.
“I’m told somebody told somebody that he sat somewhere and someone said ‘ooh, that Martin Amidu says he has something to prosecute about me. I am more incorruptible than Amidu and Akufo-Addo, Bawumia combined!”
More incorruptible than them! More incorruptible. And I hear these funny stories. I don’t want to be charged for contempt but there are some cases before court and I find the cases funny”.
Addresing the students, he dismissed the case against former Chief Executive Officer of Cocobod as lacking merit, to the cheering student listeners.
Murtala also accused President Akufo-Addo of ‘operating a chop bar at the presidency’ where figures are cooked to deceive Ghanaians, a situation leading to contradictions between top government officials on issues.
