President of the republic, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo has expressed high optimism over the fortunes of the national team of the Black Stars.
In a press conference, a confident looking Nana Addo argued that despite the technical challenges faced the Black Stars; there is the highest expectation of the team making it through the World Cup in Russia come 2020.
“Looking at the determination of the players and their readiness to die for the nation, I believe Ghana can qualify for the World Cup,” Nana Addo stated.
The high sense of optimism by the president follows the coming in of former local black stars coach, Kwesi Appiah who secured a massive 5-0 victory against Ethiopia in the recent Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
