Kenyan media are reporting that a bridge that was under construction has collapsed less than a month after the president inspected it:

BUDALANGI’S Sh1.2 billion Sigiri Bridge collapses, a fortnight after President Uhuru inspected its construction.

 

The Kenyan Standard says the bridge was built over the River Nzoia in western Kenya.

It adds that the bridge was meant to open in July.

It is unclear why the bridge collapsed or whether any was hurt.
