The Gazetted Ga Mantse, Nii Tackie Adama Latse II, has called on rival factions and chiefs to put aside their difference and forge a path of unity and progress for the Ga Kingdom.
This he noted will result in astronomical development and improvement in the livelihood of the people of the Ga State.
He also appealed to the people of the Ga State to unite and rally round the common vision with common interests and purpose.
The Ga Mantse was worried that a continuation of the disputes will further stall the development of the area as the capital city, Accra is on Ga land.
“We need to be one as the Ga Adangme Kingdom. Let us bury our differences. The disagreements and fights aren’t helpful. But when we are one we can be great. We need to think about the future generation, about our kids and to make sure that we have the necessary development adequate for them to prosper. A lot of the youth have completed school but do not have jobs. One of the causes is that our disagreements have reduced the pace of development” he remarked
The Ga Mantse also pledged to prioritise education in 2018.
He indicated that he will utilise his influence as a member of the Regional House of Chiefs and also as a chief of the Ga land to push this agenda.
