Kumawood actor, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin’s right hand man, Top Kay has finally apologized for singing against some actors.
The musician who also doubles as a fetish priest in a meeting with Samuel Nyamekye, Chief Executive Officer of Miracle Films and Jackson, a movie producer, said he did not intend to insult anybody in his song.
“Musicians sing about real life stories and I may sing a song that may appear to be directed at somebody but frankly speaking, I did not write the song with anybody in mind. More so, I did not mention anybody’s name in the song but if anybody in the industry feels offended, I apologise” he said.
According to the musician, Lilwin is not the composer of the said song as some people in the industry assert.
“Lilwin cannot write songs. All the songs I have done were composed by me and Zak [Lilwin’s manager]. And why would I sing to create confuse in an industry where my best friend depends upon to survive?” he quizzed.
On his apart, Lilwin said he did not know anything about the song until it was released.
“I have known Top Kay for years now and that’s his style of music, I believe he did not mean any harm but some bloggers who want traffic on their blogs may have twisted the aim behind the story, hence the controversy surrounding it” he said.
Addressing the issue of befriending a fetish priest, Lilwin said, he knew Top Kay long before he became a fetish and so he sees no reason why he should shun him now.
“We have pastors befriending juju men in this country and so I see no reason why our differences in religion should destroy my friendship with him, should I shun him because he’s fetish? Is that what people are saying? he quizzed.
