Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Winful Cobbinah was crowned the most valuable player at the 2017 MTN FA Cup held in Accra on Wednesday night.
The seventh edition of the MTN FA Cup Awards was held at the M Plaza Hotel to honour outstanding and deserving players, coaches, match officials and other significant individuals.
Cobbinah beat off competition from Asante Kotoko’s Saddick Adams and Isaac Amoah from Amidaus Professionals to win the top accolade of the night.
Although Saddick Adams missed an opportunity to win two awards on the night, he was awarded a joint Top Scorers award alongside Raphael Ocoloo. Both players scored 10 goals each in last season’s MTN FA Cup campaign
Other award winners on the night were former Kotoko coach, Steve Pollack who won Best Coach of the year whiles Accra Hearts of Oak fans were adjudged the Supporters Group of the Year and Medeama SC centre-back Ibrahim Yaro was named the best defender of the competition.
