NDC’s Koku Anyidoho says his party will forever remain in opposition if whoever will emerge winner in the upcoming flagbearership race on Saturday, February 23, 2019 does not unite the party.

He admitted the party is “disunited” and if it does not put up a united front – they will forever be stuck in opposition.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’, the former Chief Scribe of the ‘Umbrella’ party told host Mac Jerry Osei Agyeman that “there is a huge task on whoever the party will elect to lead us in 2020”.

“There are seven of the aspirants and surely one will win. The winner must personally call the rest of the aspirants and bring them on board for 2020. The winner must caution their followers not to ridicule others. We have to be united for 2020,” Koku Anyidoho said.

Seven flagbearer aspirants of the National Democratic Congress will contest the presidential primary of the party slated for Saturday, February 23, 2019.

They include; former President John Dramani Mahama, Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Alban Kingsford Sumani Bagbin; former Vice Chancellor of University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Joshua Alabi; former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Sylvester Mensah; former Trade Minister Ekwow Spio-Garbrah; businessman Nurideen Iddrisu and cadre, Goosie Tanoh.
