Former Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress in the Ashanti Region has described founder of his party as “a son of the NPP.”
According to Alhaji Mohammed Sani, Jerry John Rawlings has through his utterances and actions shown he has turned into an avowed enemy of the party he founded.
Alhaji Sani’s comments were in reaction to a meeting held between President Akufo Addo and all three former presidents
President Akufo-Addo yesterday met three former Presidents Jerry John Rawlings (1992-2000), John Agyekum Kufuor (2001-2008) and John Dramani Mahama (2012-2016) at the Flagstaff House, the seat of government.
First to arrive at the presidency was former President Jerry John Rawlings accompanied by his aides.
But Alhaji Sani insists, Jerry Rawlings’ gesture is nothing but treachery against the NDC.
“Rawlings is a son of the NPP and I am not afraid to say this on radio,” Alhaji Sani said.
“From days leading to the elections and even on elections day, Rawlings has done everything possible to sabotage the NDC, a party he founded.”
“I am reliably informed that Rawlings did not even vote for Mahama during the elections.”
”I am daring Rawlings, if he thinks he is a man, he should swear with Antoa Nyama that he actually voted for Mahama in the 2016 elections.”
“Rawlings has always believed in Antoa Nyama more than anything else and I am challenging him to swear by Antoa,” he charged.
