Sudanese side Khartoum Al Watani have revealed they are busily firming up documentations to jointly drag Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah and the Ghana football Association to FIFA over delays in payment of compensation, Sportsobama.com reports.

According to Ghanaian website, the Sudanese side are in attempt to demand a $100,000 damages from former trainer Kwesi Appiah for what they term as a ‘wrongful termination of contract’.

Appiah, 56 mutually parted ways with Al Khartoum following his re-appointment as Ghana coach.

The former Black Stars captain had nearly six months left on his contract with the cup winners but terminated the deal to return to the Black Stars in April.

“We agreed with Kwesi (Appiah) and we are happy that he join Ghaa but we also talk about the contract and he know”, A board member of Al Watani on condition of anonymity confirmed.

“We also have talked to the Ghana federation (GFA) and explain them what the contract is before Appiah sign”,

“But we wait for compensation and we now get new coach but no talk of compensation payment yet with us so we will make our case at FIFA very soon”, he added

The contract terms means Kwesi Appiah must pay $100,000 as compensation to the side after agreeing to take up the Ghana job, an amount which is yet to be paid.
