Renowned Ghanaian photojournalist, Senyuiedzorm Awusi Adadevoh, CEO of Images Image, became the first from Ghana to interview the world’s richest boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. after he defeated Irish born Conor McGregor in one of the richest bouts in boxing history.
Floyd Mayweather extended his perfect career record to 50 fights unbeaten after he defeated Conor McGregor in the 10th round.
Senyuiedzorm Awusi Adadevoh, who is among the few female photojournalists in Africa was part of the Media team that covered the journey to the historical bout which was held in Las Vegas on the 26 of August 2017.
Prior to the bout, the CEO of Images Image, Senyuiedzorm Awusi Adadevoh, was at the weigh in of the two boxers and she never failed to share the magnificent pictures she took from the event on her Facebook page.
In the unprecedented interview which took place inside the Mayweather Boxing Club in Las Vegas, the ‘Pound for Pound’ boxer revealed that his ability to dominate the sport was a gift from God and after discovering it he has focused on the discipline for 37 years.
Recounting his African heritage, Floyd noted that although he represents the United States, he still loves Africa, adding that “I have been to Africa for several times and my trip to Africa is amazing”.
After watching his father Floyd Mayweather Sr. rise through the ranks of boxing Jr. Mayweather decided to continue the journey of his father and advised parents to be the role models of their children in every endeavor to help them succeed in life.
