Hearts of Oak midfield gem Winful Cobbinah has fired a warning shot at Asante Kotoko ahead of the return leg of the Ghana@60 anniversary match.
Hearts of Oak will hope to do battle with their arch-rivals Asante Kotoko in the Ghana@60 Years on anniversary match on Sunday December 24, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Phobians will go into the game with an healthy advantage, having beaten the Porcupine Warriors 3-1 in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Accra-based giants will however, miss the services of some of their last season’s top performers such as Vincent Atinga, Thomas Abbey, Kwame Kizito and Leonard Tawiah in the game following their departure from the club in the aftermath of their contract expiration.
But Cobbinah believes that coach Nuttal will assemble a good and winsome side to square off against their old nemesis in the encounter.
“As for Hearts-Kotoko matches one cannot predict them, but I am confident that we will record another win like we did the last time now we have a new set of players and they are doing very well so we will have a strong squad to face them,” Cobbinah told Graphic Sports.
“Once coach Nuttal has started the pre-season training with us, he will be able to asses and know the strength of each player and that will help him build a solid team with these new players so the absence of the old ones will not affect our performance in any way.”
