Ghanaian striker Bernard Tekpetey scored a sensational hat-trick to propel Paderborn to thump Darmstadt 6-2 in the German second-tier on Sunday.
The goals take his total tally for the season to seven.
Tekpetey netted his first goal of the game in the first half before adding two more in 75th and 85th minutes.
Also on target for Paderborn were Sven Michel and Babacar Gueye.
The victory moves Paderborn to seventh, six points adrift of the top promotion mark.
