FA Cup Awards: Pollack wins Coach of the Year

Former Asante Kotoko coach, Steven Pollack has emerged as the Coach of the Year at the 2017 MTN FA Cup Awards Night.

Polack beat former Accra Hearts of Oak coach Frank Nuttall to win the coveted honor. He guided Asante Kotoko to clinch the title by beating arch-rivals Hearts of Oak 3-1 in the grand finale at the Tamale Sports Stadium in October last year.

Polack’s award was received on his behalf by former Kotoko Board member and popular benefactor, Alhaji Abu Lamini. Also on the stage to helped Alhaji Lamini receive Polack’s award was Kotoko’s Accra Representative, Thomas Boakye Agyeman.

Other award winners on the night were Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Winful Cobbinah was crowned the most valuable player in 2017 whilst Accra Hearts of Oak fans were adjudged the Supporters Group of the Year and Medeama SC centre-back Ibrahim Yaro was named the best defender of the competition.
